Premier League action returns to our screens this weekend with two games from the top-flight of English football shown live on TV. The later kick-off pairs top-four rivals Leicester City and Manchester City at the King Power.
Fight on for Second
With Liverpool taking complete control of the Premier League title race, nailed on to end their top-flight trophy drought, the battle is now on for a place in the top four and next season’s Champions League. Both sides involved in this match should hold their nerve and reach the cash-rich competition, but they also have an aim of ending the best of the rest behind the champions.
Leicester City has been the surprise package of the Premier League this season, flourishing under former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers. The Northern Irishman has led his side into the top four and, at this stage, there’s no reason why they can’t finish ahead of Manchester City and end second in the table behind the reds. A win here would seriously improve their chances of doing just that. The locals have been priced up at 7/2 – best price at Betfred – to claim three points in front of their own fans and a bumper TV audience.
All Eyes on the Champions League
Manchester City’s main aim this season is now winning the Champions League. They won’t admit it to fans, but Liverpool has been far too good and will take their title at the end of the campaign. That’s down to the reds’ form as well as Man City’s inability to kill teams off from a winning position. Something Pep Guardiola will take the criticism for. The away win is 3/4 fav at Unibet.
