Monte Carlo Rolex Masters Betting Tips

The first big event of the clay court season has already provided its share of thrills and spills with only 3 of the top 9 seeds left in the draw at the quarter final stages. Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal have been faultless so far in their journey to the last 8 but many have fallen by the wayside. The likes of Daniil Medvedev, Borna Coric and Fabio Fognini will see this as a real opportunity in Monte Carlo to kick on, in one of the most reputable events on the ATP tour. Here are our Monte Carlo Rolex Masters betting tips.

Men’s Quarter Finals Preview

Here are our Monte Carlo Rolex Master Last 8 predictions:

Match Betting:

Novak Djokovic vs Daniil Medvedev

Odds:

Novak Djokovic – 1/4 (Unibet)

Daniil Medvedev –19/5 (Bet365)

Arguably the biggest match of the round takes place in the top quadrant of the draw as Novak Djokovic takes on Daniil Medvedev. Djokovic is the number 1 seed here in Monte Carlo and has looked at home on clay thus far whilst Medvedev isn’t known for his clay court prowess but picked up a big win over Stefanos Tsitsipas in the last round.

Head to Head

This will be the 4th meeting between the two players, with Djokovic holding a 3-0 lead in the showdown thus far.

Top Match Bet

Daniil Medvedev has enjoyed a good week on the dirt but Djokovic will have too much about him in the key moments.

Novak Djokovic to win the match 2 sets to 0 – 3/5 with Betsson.

Match Betting:

Dusan Lajovic vs Lorenzo Sonego

Odds:

Dusan Lajovic – 4/5 (888sport)

Lorezno Sonego – 6/5 (MansionBet)

Two relative unknown quantities face off in the last 8 in Monte Carlo as Dusan Lajovic takes on Lorenzo Sonego. Lajovic has impressed this season, epitomised by his straight sets win over Dominic Thiem in the last round. Sonego meanwhile is outside of the world’s top 100 currently but has picked up his best results on clay historically.

Head to Head

This is the first meeting between these two players and it could be a fascinating battle.

Top Match Bet

Lorenzo Sonego has impressed this week and looks to have a big future but Lajovic has been knocking on the door for a while and could announce himself here.

Dusan Lajovic to win the match – 4/5 with 888sport.

Match Betting:

Borna Coric vs Fabio Fognini

Odds:

Borna Coric – 10/13 (William Hill)

Fabio Fognini – 6/5 (Bet-at-Home)

The number 9 seed takes on the number 13 seed in what promises to be the closest battle at the last 8 stage. Borna Coric is firmly dining at tennis’s top table currently and with a world ranking of 10 and consistent performances on all surfaces, he looks there to stay. Fabio Fognini makes no bones about being a clay court specialist but his mentality and all-round game have improved markedly in recent seasons.

Head to Head

Remarkably, this is only the second meeting between these two men and the first in nearly 5 seasons. Fognini won their previous battle back in 2014 – also on clay.

Top Match Bet

There will be very little to split these aggressive baseliners and it could well be a match that goes all the way in Monte Carlo.

3 sets to be played in the match – 7/4 with Ladbrokes.

Match Betting:

Guido Pella vs Rafael Nadal

Odds:

Guido Pella – 14/1 (TonyBet)

Rafael Nadal – 1/33 (Ladbrokes)

Eleven-time Monte Carlo Rolex Masters champion Rafael Nadal has looked fully at home on his return to clay – navigating a way past Roberto Bautista-Agut and Grigor Dimitov with ease. He takes on Guido Pella who has always enjoyed playing on the clay and he is a man operating at a career high world ranking of 36. Both men enjoy the slower courts in Monte Carlo but Nadal is generally too good for anyone on the Mediterranean coast.

Head to Head

This is the third meeting between these two players and Nadal holds a 2-0 lead, with the last win coming at the 2018 French Open.

Top Match Bet

Guido Pella is in great form but Nadal on clay is another matter and Nadal should win this one very comfortably.

Under 17.5 games to be played in the match – 10/11 with Betfred.
