May 11 Greyhounds Betting Tips & Predictions
We have another busy week of greyhound racing ahead, with meetings and races of note…
The standout of this week’s greyhound schedule comes in the form of the Kent National Hurdle which takes place on Saturday. You can watch live coverage courtesy of Racing Post Greyhound TV and a number of major betting firms provide coverage through mobile apps, allowing you to follow the action on smartphones and tablet devices.
Traders have put forward their thoughts on the outright winner of this tournament and the list makes for interesting reading. Saturday’s race promises to be a competitive one and a strong case could be made for three or four of the front runners in the betting. The money men have put their trust in Droopys Trawler, and they are convinced they have the right one picked.
Ladbrokes sponsor the event and were the first major betting firm to make their prices available. When the book opened, they had a 7/4 price tag attached to Droopys Trawler and that’s sure to be popular with punters, especially those building weekend accumulators. We understand the thinking behind that price but there’s value to be had in looking down the list and taking on the jolly with a rival carrying chunkier odds.
The runner to carry our stake money will be Caislean Fifi who is available at 9/4 – best price at Ladbrokes. We fully expected to see our pick closer to the favourite, so it was a pleasant surprise to find such a difference. We had Caislean Fifi marked down as a 15/8 shot, making a bet easier to have. The pick boasts plenty of early pace and, with a bit of luck heading out of the traps, it can hit the front and will take all the beating from there.
