We get off to a fast start on the greyhound scene this week and, once again, dive in at the deep end with the latest round of racing from the ever-popular Puppy Classic. Here are our top August 26 Greyhounds betting tips.

This is a competition that unites both avid followers of the sport with casual backers and there’s no lack of interest from punters either, value hunters eager to take full advantage of a wide-open market.
The current outright betting for the Puppy Classic, now traders have had a good look at how the pack is shaping up, has Ice On Fire as hot favourite. The money men seem convinced they have the right dog picked too, so much so there are offering no more than the 4/5 currently being handed over by Bet365.
A Dolly Good Bet
That may strike you as a little tight, especially at this stage of proceedings, but that quote is better than the 8/11 you’ll get with most other firms. Our advice to those backing the favourite is to get their money down at bet365. It’s difficult enough to make profit from greyhound racing without taking less of a price about your selections.
We can see where the trading teams are coming from with Ice On Fire but it’s not a price that does anything to excite us and we’d much rather allow our gaze to drift down through the pecking order. We were left barking up the wrong tree with this competition last week but it’s well worth taking another crack at it as there are many runners who appear to be overpriced. The second favourite, Roxholme Dolly, merits a second look and we’ll take a pop at the 4/1 offered up by Ladbrokes.
