Lyon did what we all thought was impossible in the last game. They beat Manchester City away, and they played fantastically. In fact, the odds for Lyon to win that game was 19 (!). That result gave them a boost and in their next match, they defeated Marseille 4-2. The odds are way too high in today’s game on a Lyon win, so we are going to use that and bet 4 units.
Shakhtar Donetsk:
We do not want to take away anything from Shakhtar Donetsk. They have proved themselves to be a great team; they are dominating the Ukraine football scene and they play in all of the big European tournaments every year. However, Lyon is a much better team at the moment. Shakhtar had some problems in the first game against Hoffenheim at home. They were down two times in the match but, with some luck, made it 2-2 in the last minutes of the game. Also, there are some questions as to whether Dentinho and Wellington will be able to start today – that could explain the high odds.
