Sunday sees Manchester United host Chelsea in the 4:30pm kick-off in the Premier League.

After the sacking of Erik ten Hag earlier on in the week, Ruud van Nistelrooy continues to deputise the side until new manager Ruben Amorim takes over later this month.

It has been an eventful week for Manchester United after the club parted company with manager Erik ten Hag, having had the worst start ever to a Premier League season.

Last time out in the league saw the Red Devils on the losing side of a 2-1 scoreline away at the London Stadium. 

However, this was followed by a stunning 5-2 victory over fellow Premier League side Leicester in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.

Interim manager van Nistelrooy will be hopeful to carry the momentum into Sunday’s match and inflict yet another defeat on a Chelsea side at Old Trafford.

After being knocked out of the Carabao Cup midweek, Enzo Maresca’s side will be looking to continue their good form in the league and secure a result at Old Trafford.

Chelsea secured a 2-1 victory against Newcastle at the weekend, but the cup tie saw the opposite as Newcastle won 2-0.

However, victory away from home against Manchester United is no easy task, as the Blues have not won away against the Red Devils since 2013. 

With the Blues boss keen to end their 11-year winless record, it will be all hands on deck. Only Jadon Sancho, the latest player to miss out on the trip due to illness, is unavailable anyway due to the loan rules.
