ENG vs PAK 3rd Test Cricket Predictions & Betting Tips

With the series tied at 1-1 it is all to play for in the third test between England and Pakistan on Thursday. 

Ben Stokes and his side will be looking to secure the win in the series decider, a position the tourists have not faced since back in 2022.

Playing on the same pitch as the first test, the England vs Pakistan second test match really saw the ball start to spin in Multan early on.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, the home side got a score on the board of 366 after vital wickets for Shoaib Bashir and Jack Leach.

England dropped what turned out to be some match-defining catches during their time in the field.

However, it was an extraordinary collapse for the tourists as left chasing 297 was too much on the dusty pitch.

England found themselves all out for 144 before lunch on day four, as left-arm spinner Noman Ali claimed seven of the eight wickets that fell on Friday.

The home sides gamble to only include one seam bowler paid off with Ali and Sajid Khan taking all 20 wickets. This is just the seventh time in history, and the first time since 1972 that two bowlers have shared all 20 wickets.

England trained in Rawalpindi on Tuesday for the first time ahead of the third and final test on Thursday.

With the series level at 1-1, it is an all-out attack (but really, when is it not?) for England. 

The Three Lions have recalled Rehan Ahmed to the team, giving them three frontline spinners and Joe Root as a fourth. Atkinson and Stokes will take the brunt of the seam bowling.

What the pitch will do is the question on everyone’s mind, at least for the first two days before it is expected to start to spin from then on.

The home side head into the decider with an unchanged team after naming their squad for the final two test matches following the defeat on the first.

Hoping for another pitch that spins, groundstaff at Rawalpindi have been doing everything they can to prevent the tourists from securing the win.

Fans and heaters have been pictured on the wicket in a bid to force cracks to benefit the spin bowlers.

If Pakistan can secure the win and win the series, it will be the first test series they have won since Sri Lanka in 2023.
