April 13 La Liga Betting Tips & Predictions

Espanyol v Alaves

The first of our top April 13 La Liga betting tips and predictions is for Espanyol v Alaves. The home side start the week down in 13th and don’t have an awful lot to aim at between now and the end of the season, with relegation far enough behind to ensure they won’t have to worry, the prize places already over the hill and off into the distance. Espanyol did keep their fans interested with a win last time out, securing what was their 10th of the season and that put them eight points clear of the bottom three. Will they score two-in-a-row? Bookmakers think so and have Espanyol chalked up as favourites, priced 4/5 by 888Sport.

Back-to-Back Defeats

That surprised us as in Alaves they face an opponent who is seventh in the charts and still have a chance of battling their way into the top-four Champions League places. The visitors are winless in three, following back-to-back defeats with a draw last time and that has pulled them five points adrift of Getafe, although they only have one to find to match Valencia in the top-six. Alaves are the better team of the two involved here and should be backed at a value 4/1, top price with Bet365.

Our Tip: Alaves to win – 4/1 at Bet365

Huesca v Barcelona

Huesca has drawn each of their last two, but remain bottom of the La Liga table and will be relegated at the conclusion of this season, barring a stunning turnaround in fortunes. They go into game 32 of their campaign with stats showing five wins and nine draws against 17 defeats, the 24 points on the board leaving them six behind Real Valladolid and safety. Another draw looks unlikely at 16/5 – top price at Bet365 – although it makes much more sense than backing the locals to beat Barcelona at 5/1 with Unibet.

Staying on the Ball

Barca has one hand on the La Liga title and is now running down the clock until it’s confirmed. They face no competition in the final few weeks of the campaign with Atletico Madrid in second already 11 points off the pace. The leaders have shown no signs of taking their eye off the ball, however, and have won four and drawn one of their last five. They collected another three points last time and will build on that here. Add Barca to your accumulators at 8/13 (Unibet).

Our Tip: Barcelona to win – 8/13 at Unibet

Atletico Madrid v Celta Vigo

A shock La Liga title win looks out of the question, but Atletico Madrid have the chance to finish above rivals Real Madrid and that will ensure the players remain focussed in the latter stages of the season. They sit second but have lost half of their last four, including defeat in their most recent start, which has left the door open for Zidane’s boys to sneak back in, sitting two points behind in third. Home advantage should be enough to ensure they get back on track and we’re backing the locals at 4/11 with Bet365, a price that’ll help boost your accumulator returns.

Onwards and Upwards

Celta Vigo is 16th in La Liga and have the threat of relegation hanging over them as we approach the finish line. They start this journey just two points better off than Villarreal and the relegation zone, although they do appear to be heading in the right direction, winning two and drawing one of their last three. This trip appears to have come at the wrong time and, despite their form, we can’t back them at 15/2 with Unibet.

Our Tip: Atletico Madrid to win – 4/11 at Bet365

Sevilla v Real Betis

Sevilla has won each of their last two and four of five to throw themselves into contention for a top-four finish, grabbing the Champions League riches that come with it. They started the week just a point behind Getafe in fourth and are priced as favourites to close the gap with a third win on the bounce. We make that a shrewd call and will back Sevilla to get the job done at 3/4 (Unibet).

Causing an Upset

Real Betis will travel looking to cause a bit of an upset, but they sit down in ninth and have lacked the consistency needed to apply pressure to the prize places over the last few weeks. Two wins, a couple of defeats and a draw do little to inspire confidence in the away win and we see nothing in that form that’ll make us snap at the 7/2 offered by Bet365. That’s top price, but it’s not enough.

Our Tip: Sevilla to win – 3/4 at Unibet

Valladolid v Getafe

Valladolid has taken just one of the last nine La Liga points made available to them and that means the home side go into this contest sitting one place higher than Villarreal in the relegation zone, with both level on points. We’re set up for a fascinating finish to the season at the wrong end of the division and Valladolid are looking favourites to be sucked into the danger area. To avoid that they must win this match, but we see no reason to back them to do that at 9/4 with Bet365.

Holding Their Ground

Getafe started the week in fourth and although many are writing them off to hold their ground and finish in the prize places, the visitors continue to perform and edge towards what would be a sensational achievement. They are unbeaten in two and board the team bus on the back of a win, which is enough to ensure we stick with them. Add Getafe to your bet slips at a cracking 29/20 with Bet365. Good enough to take as a super single for big stakes.

Our Tip: Getafe to win – 29/20 at Bet365

Athletic Bilbao v Rayo Vallecano

The last of our April 13 La Liga betting tips is for Athletic Bilbao v Rayo Vallecano. Bilbao lost last weekend and that knocked them off-course for a top-six finish, but they remain within touching distance of Valencia, sitting only three points off the pace. A quick-fire return to winning ways would throw them back into the mix and that’s how we expect to see this match pan out. Back the home win in your multiples at 4/6 with Ladbrokes.

Relegation Looks Likely

Vallecano is second bottom of the league and looks destined to go down this season, despite winning their most recent start. They are three points off safety, but time is running out and a two wins in-a-row looks unlikely. We won’t be chancing our luck on the visitors at 9/2 (Bet365).

Our Tip: Athletic Bilbao to win – 4/6 at Ladbrokes
