They started the month with a predictable 2-0 defeat at Arsenal and followed that with a painful 1-0 when hosting Crystal Palace last weekend, a result that ruined a share of accumulators. With the game evenly balanced going into the final 10 minutes, Milivojevic scored an 81st-minute penalty to wrap things up, sending the keeper the wrong way to nail down a valuable three points. Spurs have won just one of their last five and that has allowed teams behind to close the gap. Going into the weekend there are just three points between themselves in third and Man Utd sitting down in sixth.
The home side finally got the victory they so desperately needed last weekend when handing out a 2-0 beating to neighbours Crystal Palace earlier this month. A midweek win that celebrated the official opening of their stunning new £1bn stadium, it took until the 55th minute before those packed into the capital venue saw a goal, Son Heung-Min writing his name into the history books before Eriksen doubled their advantage with 80 on the clock. An emotional night for all concerned, Tottenham continued their unbeaten recent form against Palace. Terriers Lack Fight
Huddersfield will be playing Championship football next season and that much has been obvious for quite some time. One of the worst Premier League campaigns in recent memory, the visitors travel for this match with season stats sitting at three wins and five draws against a jaw-dropping 25 defeats and it would come as no surprise if they were to finish their fixture list without bagging another victory. Nothing is expected of them here and with morale low in the team, it’s difficult to make a case for the upset.
The Terriers lost last time out, of course, and they put up very little fight when falling to a 4-1 beating at the hands of a resurgent Leicester City at home. Mooy scored from the penalty spot on 52 minutes and it would be a surprise to see him drop down a tier and stick with his current employers in the Championship. It’s far more likely Huddersfield will try to cash in on their scorer and use the funds to help build a war chest as they plan an attack on the Championship title. Man Utd v West Ham
Saturday evening’s live match and we find Man Utd trying to get back to winning ways following a pair of defeats in their last three starts, poor form that has pulled them down to sixth in the pecking order with time running out to snatch a place in the top-four and ensure the safe return of Champions League football to Old Trafford. Going into the weekend the locals have just two points to find to match Arsenal in fourth.
Was Ole given the job at the wrong time? That’s a tough one to answer as everyone connected to Old Trafford felt they needed security and the stand-in boss had certainly done enough to earn the job going forward, but the locals seem to have lost a bit of their fight in the last few weeks and the board may just feel they should’ve held on until the end of the season. They lost 2-1 away to Wolves earlier this month but bookmakers have them nailed down for the home win, 2/5 at Ladbrokes. A price best suited to your accumulators.
An Inconsistent Bunch
West Ham’s inconsistency means they are battling for a top-10 finish this season and have work to do if they are to achieve their goals and finish in the best half of the division. The Londoners have lost three and won two of their last five and were beaten last time out. Their season stats stand at 12 wins, six draws and 14 defeats, form deserving of nothing better than their midtable position. They did beat Huddersfield 4-3 last month but were beaten by Everton in Stratford next time out.
With home advantage and The Toffees blowing hot and cold it was thought West Ham may just have a chance of beating Everton, but they got nowhere near it, falling behind to a Zouma opener on five minutes. That knocked the stuffing from them, and Everton had no trouble sticking the boot it, Bernard netting a second on 33 minutes. That defeat brought an end to a decent unbeaten run at the London Stadium and a return to winning ways here is unlikely, priced 7/1, top offer with 888sport. A chunky quote, and we wouldn’t put anyone off, but Man Utd have more to play for.

Crystal Palace v Man City
Crystal Palace is struggling to nail down the consistency needed to climb the table, but they are picking up wins to finish the season strongly and have taken nine points from the last 15 on the table. That has them in 12th going into the week but another maximum pay-out is looking highly unlikely when faced with the might of Man City. If you expect last season’s champions to stutter you can back Palace for the upset at 9/1 with Ladbrokes, a draw 9/2 (Unibet).
A Fight to the Finish
Man City started the week down in second but with a game in hand over leaders Liverpool. This really is shaping up to be a thrilling finish with neither The Cityzens or The Reds giving anything away. The defending champions are on a winning run and added the scalp of Cardiff earlier this month, beating The Bluebirds 2-0 at the Etihad.
