April 6 La Liga Betting Tips & Predictions

Girona v Espanyol

The first of our top April 6 La Liga betting tips and predictions is for Girona v Espanyol. The start of a busy weekend of Spanish football and this will be just another day in a week that sees La Liga games take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. It’s a sprint for the finish line and followers are guaranteed their share of drama before the weekend is over. Girona has already done enough to avoid the threat of relegation and we think that’ll result in a draw. Back the level finish at 11/5 with Bet365, the home win judged to be more likely, priced at 6/4 when betting with the same firm.

Dragging Along the Bottom

Espanyol endured a winless run that sucked them down the pecking order and they find themselves closer to the bottom-three than they’d like, but they are another side who look safe and can afford to wind their season down and look forward to the summer break. Winning away from home would be a big ask of this side at the best of times and we don’t expect to see the desire to go and do that. Those who disagree and want their cash on the away win will get 15/8 when trusting their stake to Ladbrokes. Nice, but not a bet for us.

Our Tip: Girona to win – 6/4 at Bet365

Real Madrid v Eibar

This looks a gimme three points for a Real Madrid side who will feel the pressures of the home support early on if things don’t immediately go their way in this fixture. Zidane is back in the dugout and the focus is on next season, but this campaign has been a bitterly disappointing one for those in the stands and they won’t be slow in making their voice heard. Blancos started the week with three wins on the bounce and we fully expect another maximum here, priced 2/11 by Bet365.

Nothing to Aim For

Eibar is a midtable side and will finish up that way, their recent form showing exactly why they won’t pressure the prize places but also won’t feel the threat of the relegation zone. They started the week with stats of one win, two draws and a couple of defeats and that had them stuck in 11th, running down the fixture list. We’d fancy Madrid to win this tie on most occasions, so the 12/1 at Bet365 for an away win impresses us, but it doesn’t get our stake.

Our Tip: Real Madrid to win – 2/11 at Bet365

Rayo Vallecano v Valencia

Rayo Vallecano started the week second bottom of the pile and had taken just one point from the last 15 available to them. They remain in with a chance of beating relegation but it’s looking increasingly likely they’ll drop down a division this term and, if that’s the case, they will only have themselves to blame. They have been woeful when consistency was needed, and we have no interest in backing them to record a rare win at 5/2 (Bet365). The draw makes a little more appeal at 12/5 with the same bookie.

A Shot at Europe

Three wins and two draws in five lifted Valencia to sixth in the table and they are looking on-course for another European finish this spring, bagging a place in next season’s Europa League. A top-four remained a possibility following last weekend’s win, but they may just have left it a little too late. The visitors will keep pushing until it’s confirmed and we’re backing them to get the win at 21/20 with BetFred, a quote that will work wonders in your accumulators.

Our Tip: Valencia to win – 21/20 at BetFred

Barcelona v Atletico Madrid

Game of the weekend as the league leaders and champions in-waiting look to strengthen their position over a side sitting second in the table and rating as their nearest rivals, despite already being 10 points off the pace. Barca has done a job already but will want to send out a message to the rest of the division that there can be no excuses and they are fully deserving of the trophy. Backers can get on the local cheer at 3/4 with Ladbrokes, a price much bigger than we expected to find.

Fighting for their Spot

Atletico Madrid knows they can’t wrestle top-spot from their opponents but do still have something to play for as they battle to hold their ground, end as best of the rest and keep rivals Real Madrid at arm’s length. That will mean the world to supporters and it’s what we expect to happen. The 17/4 (Bet365) on an away win is the kind of price we enjoy shooting for, but we can’t make a solid case for Madrid pulling off the upset.

Our Tip: Barcelona to win – 3/4 at Ladbrokes

Alaves v Leganes

The last of our April 6 La Liga betting tips is for Alaves v Leganes. Alaves have been written off by critics all season but they remain in the hunt for a top-four finish and the Champions League football that would come with it. Such an achievement would’ve been unthinkable earlier in the campaign, but they have asked questions of the frontrunners and fully deserve their shot at glory. The home side started the week in fifth but lost last weekend. Will they bounce back and collect three points here? We think so. Back them at 23/20 with Bet365. Alaves were hammered 4-0 at this venue by Atletico Madrid last weekend, falling behind to a Saul opening goal inside five minutes. That opened the floodgates and the game was over as a contest by 11. The home team must show the strength of character to bounce back.

Stuck in Mid-Table

Leganes found themselves 12th in the table following last week’s surprise win, a result that ended a two-game losing streak. They will finish up in midtable and the fact they don’t need the points here puts us off taking a chance of them scoring an away win. Confidence is with the home dressing room and there’s not enough in Bet365’s 13/5 to grab our attention. The draw is seen as a more likely outcome, priced 21/10 (Bet365). Leganes scored their ninth win of the season last weekend when beating Getafe 2-0 on the road. Santos hit first when breaking the deadlock early in the second-half before Fuertes made sure of the points with a winner on 83.

Our Tip: Alaves to win – 23/20 at Bet365
