Barcelona is top of the league and on an eye-catching winning run that has them odds-on favourites to retain their title. Valencia can’t boast the same stats; although they are improving, the visitors have failed to win half of their last four. Celta Vigo v Sevilla
Sevilla won last time out to help hold their ground in the top-four and keep them on track for a Champions League finish this season; however, that win remains their only positive in five La Liga starts, their recent from reading draw-draw-loss-loss-win. That doesn’t do a lot to inspire confidence in backers; however, Celta Vigo is almost unbackable on the back of five defeats on the trot. The hosts are down in the relegation zone and form alone makes them a club best avoided at present. Villarreal v Espanyol
Villarreal’s season continues to go from bad to worse; they can be found second bottom of the table with 18 points on the board, already five behind Rayo Vallecano and safety. Real Madrid v Alaves
Real Madrid has been unable to carry their stunning Champions League form into their domestic campaign; despite dominating Europe to set records, their wait for a La Liga title rumbles on and isn’t expected to end anytime soon. They are third in the league with stats of 12-3-6; however, they have won each of their last three and we’re hot on the chances of them adding a fourth this weekend.
