Scottish Cup Fifth Round Betting Tips & Predictions
Hibs v Raith Rovers The first of our Scottish Cup fifth round betting tips is…
In the third round of the Premier League, it’s home team Fulham v Burnley. It will, without any doubt, be a very interesting match. Fulham is the bookies’ favourite, but we reckon they won’t take the win.
The odds on a Fulham win are around 2.00, but we don’t see them as favourites here. Both teams are yet to win any games this season in the Premier League, and we think that this is not the one where Fulham will achieve the first win. Maybe even Burnley won’t win this game, but we choose to play X2 in this game. 888sports offer great odds of 1.87 for a Burnley win or draw, and we would take it with a minimal stake.
The newly-promoted side is still adjusting to life in the Premier League. The team lost both its games: 2-0 against Crystal Palace at home and 3-1 away at Tottenham. The squad still lacks the experience needed to play in the top division; mostly because the team can’t finish its attacks, and the defence is leaky. Their best centre back, Alfie Mawson, is still injured and that’s a big problem for them.
Burnley started the season with a 0-0 draw away at Southampton but lost 3-1 at home to Watford. They are a stronger side than Fulham, but the downside on betting on a win for them is that they are playing in the Europa League qualifications. In the playoffs, they lost 3-1 away at Olympiakos Piraeus and they could rest some key players in a game against Fulham. Anyway, even so, they can still manage to hold out for a draw.
✓ Fulham is very weak at the moment; they lost both matches this season.
✓ Burnley is a decent side; they are stronger than Fulham.
✓ Fulham will play without their best defender, Alfie Mawson.
✘ Burnley may rest some key players because they will need them in Europa League play-offs.
