It’s a packed schedule this weekend with the Irish Greyhound Derby pulling rank over the main contenders and the star attraction promises to live up to the hype, and then some. Here are our top Greyhounds 19 September betting tips and predictions.
A Closer Look
We have made our plays in that particular tournament already, however, so look elsewhere for our bet of the week which goes on Thursday.
The one to catch our eye and receive our stake money in the coming days is another derby – The East Anglian Derby – which will go to traps on Thursday. Punters can follow the play live on Racing Post Greyhound TV or through the live streaming on one of the major mobile betting apps, including Bet365, William Hill and Ladbrokes.
Being able to watch your selection compete live should encourage more backers to have an interest early in this prize and bookmakers have done their bit for the cause by drawing up an early and competitive betting market. Get your cash on the heats or look further ahead and nick a better price by predicting the outright winner. Easier said than done at this stage, of course, but the reward seems well worth the risks.
Roxholme Nidge Nudges Ahead
The traders have had their say and didn’t delay in pinning fans favourite Roxholme Nidge to the head of their betting. There’s currently no more available to supporters than the 7/4 being offered by Bet365 and that’s market best price. Tight so early in the running, we’d say, but many firms go 5/4 on the same bet and that makes the jolly a bit of value. We certainly wouldn’t put anyone off. Others prominent in the ante-post betting were Roxholme Glory at 5/2 and Bramble Reggie at 8/1.
