A competitive field is expected for the renewal of this one and the fact there’s over £20,000 in prize money paid to the winner of this 1m 6f affair, we’re expecting the big names to be out in force, eager to land a blow.
Duretto won this race for Balding and Probert 12 months ago and the talented trainer is back for more of the same when sending Tribal Craft into the running. You can bet on the race in the ante-post market, but the list will be snipped between now and the off, following the various declarations stages.
Check Your Outbox
Bookmakers have had their say on how this one should go, and they are throwing the weight of their support behind Outbox who is 13/8 favourite with Unibet, better than the 6/4 you’ll get when betting with most other firms. Crisford’s four-year-old gelding has finished outside of the prize places only once in six starts, that run including three golds.
The selection was last seen placing third at Newmarket in August when contesting the Unibet Handicap over 1m 4f, finishing behind Kellys Dino and Corelli. That was a disappointment as he went off as favourite but we’re taking him to bounce back. Punters may be put off by his Newmarket effort but he’s easy enough to forgive.
