Leeds v Swansea Betting Tips

Elland Road is up for a big one tonight and the tensions are high. The Whites will clash against The Swans in a battle-infused race towards victory. A lot is at stake here, and both teams need their 3 points to get closer to higher grounds in the tables. Both clubs had a difficult past few weeks in the League with very uncertain outcomes; however, both seem to be back on the right path again. The teams are pretty much ready to face off at Elland Road tonight. That being said, here are our Leeds v Swansea betting tips and predictions.

Prediction

The fact is – Leeds have the upper hand. They managed to win 9 out of 15 games on home turf while The Swans don’t have great away stats lately. The Swans only managed to win one out of their four previous games away from home, and only five away matches in general.  They also had a couple of defeats back at home when losing to Birmingham and Bristol City. Also, another fact that doesn’t help Swansea at all is that they managed to concede 37 goals this season alone. It goes without saying that Leeds is a very strong opponent.

Our prediction is that the Peacocks will stand victorious in this one. It should be a clear victory for Leeds, possibly by 2 goals. The general opinion is that Pablo Hernandez should be the scorer of at least one goal.

Leeds United

Things are complicated with Leeds as of late. Much has happened, and the opinions are mixed.

Leeds haven’t managed to win their last two games, as one ended in defeat and the other one with a tie. They nearly lost the second match as well, but Kalvin Phillips managed to score an absolute life-saver of a goal during injury time. At the brink of a possible doom, Leeds actually managed to score a tie against Middlesbrough. Needless to say, this saved them from a more ill-fated outcome. If they lost to Middlesbrough, their string of losses would plummet even more and things would be much harder for The Whites.

Even Marcelo Bielsa hesitates to undermine the Swans, as he stated for the media that “Swansea is a big team” for him and that he in no way underestimates his team’s upcoming rivals.

With Kemal Roofe and Mateusz Klich on board, Leeds offers a formidable offence in the upcoming match. Also, Pablo Hernandez who played for Swansea will play against his old team and many have high expectations from him with this game!

Swansea City

Swansea City shares a cluster of uncertain outcomes as much as their upcoming rivals, Leeds United. By missing two matches on home turf against Birmingham and Bristol City, hopes weren’t too high in The Swan headquarters. Thankfully a 1-0 victory against Millwall raised those hopes a bit and the team seems ready to face the Peacock, yet again. The ultimate goal is to get to 6th place, for which they need 6 points and so far, their morale seems good. Swansea only managed to win one of their previous 4 away games, which doesn’t bode well, and their away stats are pretty unimpressive. It is a pity because Swansea only lost 1 of their 7 league games.

Will Swansea finally be able to break their chain of away losses and start yielding a more positive outcome when not at home? That remains to be seen tonight.
