Madrid Open Women’s Quarter Finals Betting Tips & Predictions

The standard of tennis on display at the Madrid Open this week has been incredible with some of the biggest names in the game putting on exhibition tennis at times. The world’s top 3 in Naomi Osaka, Simona Halep and Petra Kvitova have enjoyed precessions to the quarter finals whilst some of the up and coming names on the WTA Tour have progressed to the last 8 in the Spanish capital too. Here are our Madrid Open Women’s Quarter Finals betting tips.

Our Madrid Open Women’s Last 8 Predictions:

Match Betting:

Naomi Osaka vs Belinda Bencic

Odds:

Naomi Osaka – 13/15(TonyBet)

Belinda Bencic – 11/10 (Bet365)

World number one Naomi Osaka will have to be at her best as she takes on a resurgent Belinda Bencic in the last 8 in Madrid. Both women have had relatively comfortable passages to this point thus far. Osaka is chasing a maiden clay court title following her incredible recent run whilst Bencic is knocking on the door of the world’s top 10 following an injury hampered period.

Head to Head

This is the third meeting between the players with both women having picked up one win each. Bencic’s 6-3 6-1 thrashing of Osaka in Indian Wells in March will still be fresh in both player’s memories.

Top Match Bet

This could be a real battle on the clay in Madrid with both women in great form and it looks set to go all the way in the Caja Magica.

3 Sets to be played in the match – 5/4 with Unibet.

Match Betting

Simona Halep vs Ashleigh Barty

Odds:

Simona Halep – 2/5 (888sport)

Ashleigh Barty – 2/1 (MansionBet)

Two of the in-form women on the WTA Tour face off in Madrid as defending French Open champion Simona Halep takes on Ashleigh Barty. Halep identifies as a clay court specialist whilst Barty arrives in Madrid fresh off the back of a title win in Miami and both women will more than fancy their chances going into this one.

Head to Head

This is the 4th meeting between the players – with Halep holding a 2-1 lead over Barty. Their last meeting came in Sydney International in January 2019 where Barty beat Halep for the first time.

Top Match Bet

Ashleigh Barty is a tricky customer for Halep to have to face at this stage but the Romanian is imperious on clay and should just edge this one.

Simona Halep to win the match by 2 sets to 1 – 3/1 with William Hill.

Match Betting:

Petra Kvitova vs Kiki Bertens

Odds:

Petra Kvitova – 8/13 (Guts)

Kiki Bertens – 13/10 (Bet-at-Home)

Number 2 seed Petra Kvitova takes on number 7 seed Kiki Bertens in what promises to be a real clash of the titans on the WTA Tour. Kvitova is the defending champion in Madrid and has coasted her way through to the last 8 whilst Bertens is fast becoming one of the major players on the tour and will be looking for her maiden WTA Premier Mandatory tournament win here.

Head to Head

This the sixth meeting between these two players with Kvitova holding a 3:2 record in the head to head showdown. The pair met only last month with Kvitova coming through in three sets.

Top Match Bet

Whilst this should be a close game, Kvitova looks to have the bit between her teeth currently and should prevail here.

Petra Kvitova to win the match by 2 sets to 1 – 3/1 with Betsson.

Match Betting:

Sloane Stephens vs Petra Martic

Odds:

Sloane Stephens – 4/5 (Betfred)

Petra Martic – 11/10 (Bwin)

Last year’s French Open finalist Sloane Stephens has made an instant impact on her return to clay and will be relishing the contest with Petra Martic. Stephens is seeded 8 here in Madrid and will be putting all her efforts into going one better at Roland Garros later in the month whilst Martic is enjoying a good run here in the Spanish capital.

Head to Head

This is the third meeting between the two women at WTA Tour level with Stephens holding a 2-0 lead in the head to head – including a straight sets win at the Australian Open this year.

Top Match Bet

Petra Martic has enjoyed an impressive week in Madrid but Sloane Stephens looks in good form and should come through this one.

Sloane Stephens to win the match by 2 sets to 0 – 2/1 with Bet-at-Home
