Manchester United vs Chelsea Predictions & Betting Tips
Sunday sees Manchester United host Chelsea in the 4:30pm kick-off in the Premier League. After…
Manchester United v Leicester City is the opening game in the new season of the Premier League. The match will be played at Old Trafford and the home team is favourite at the bookies. The odds are way too low to make a serious bet on, but we’ve found great odds in a different market, which I think they have been very generous with and makes for a great value bet. Here are our top predictions.
Since it’s the start of a new season, and Manchester United is the favourite in this game, we think that its safer bet and better value market to play on total shots on target by the home team, which 888sports value at 1.85. In their last six games, United managed to go over this margin.
Manchester United didn’t change the team much over the transfer window. However, Jose Mourinho’s side will try to play a different type of game; at least at the start of the Premier League. Lukaku will not be in the squad and Alexis Sanchez will start up front, so there will not be so many crosses and, obviously, more shots from distance and more through balls to Sanchez.
Leicester City brought in some decent players, but they lost their best player Riyad Mahrez who was sold to Manchester City. Also, in this game, Jamie Vardy will not play, so Leicester will surely defend heavily in this game.
✓ Manchester United is a clear favourite and will attack all game long.
✓ Lukaku will not play, so we will see more shots from distance.
✓ In the last six meetings between two teams, United shot more than 6 times on target.
✘ Leicester City will defend heavily.
