March 30 La Liga Betting Tips & Predictions

Girona v Athletic Bilbao

The first of our top March 30 La Liga betting tips is for Girona v Athletic Friday night football from La Liga and this promises to be a well-fought out contest between two sides in need of the win. Girona starts the weekend in 12th and can drive themselves into the top half of the table with three points. They have won three and drawn one of their last five to ensure they have nothing to worry about between now and the end of the season and can now relax, enjoy playing football and aim to finish as high up the ladder as possible. Girona won last time out and bookies have them priced as 17/10 (Bet365) favourites to repeat the feat here.

Lucky Number Seven?

Athletic Bilbao is three places better than their hosts in the La Liga table and can lift themselves to seventh with a maximum pay-out, putting pressure on the European places. They make this trip having lost just one of their last five, three wins and a draw making up their recent form. Bilbao banked all three points thanks to a win over Atletico Madrid last time, a result that caught followers of Spanish football by surprise. That would’ve injected real confidence into the camp and we’re happy to stick with the visitors and back them as a super single at 19/10, top price with Bet365.

Our Tip: Athletic Bilbao to win – 19/10 at Bet365

Getafe v Leganes

Getafe starts the weekend in fourth and are an ambitious side who are refusing to go away this season as they close the gap on a Champions League finish. They weren’t given a hope of ending in the prize places by supposed experts back in pre-season but fully deserve their place in the league and are showing no signs of giving it up without a fight. The locals have won three and drawn two of five and that leaves them two points better than Alaves in fifth. They enjoy the backing of an excited crowd and are more than good enough to deliver the win. Back Getafe in your weekend accumulators at a decent 10/11 with Coral.

Under Pressure

Two defeats in-a-row has heaped pressure on Leganes as we approach the end of the season and they are positioned down in 14th, sitting eight better than Celta Vigo in the relegation zone. That gives supporters cause for concern but many of the teams below them – especially those in the bottom three – aren’t looking like they are good enough to save their skin and that should see the visitors scrape through. We’re not impressed by their form and won’t be taking the 18/5 about an away win available at 888Sport.

Our Tip Getafe to win – 10/11 at Coral

Barcelona v Espanyol

Every win on the board moves Barca a step closer to getting their hands on another league title and they have looked like champions in-waiting for quite some time. The La Liga leaders are on an extended run of wins and that has seen them open a 10-point gap over nearest rivals Atletico Madrid, and they sit a dozen better than Real Madrid in third. They’re not for catching and can turn the screw with another win here. Back Barca -1 goal on the handicap at 5/4, top price at Coral.

Unlucky Thirteen

Espanyol is in the bottom half of the division and sits 13th with 28 games on the board. They have won nine, drawn seven and lost 12 so far with just one of those victories coming in their last five. The same period shows three draws, but they were beaten last time and that’ll put most punters off backing them to cause an upset at the Nou Camp. The draw goes 7/1, an away win as big as 15/1, but neither catch our eye.

Our Tip: Barca to win -1 on handicap – 5/4 at Coral

Celta Vigo v Villarreal

Three defeats on the bounce and four in their last five have sucked Celta Vigo down into the relegation zone with their season taking a turn for the worst very quickly. They have been flirting with the drop for most of the campaign but that dip in form has piled on the pressure and dropping out of the Spanish top-flight is now a real possibility. They have four points to find to match an improving Villarreal and we wouldn’t back them to do that anytime soon. Traders make the home cheer favourite but there’s as much as 17/10 available at Bet365.

Waking Up

Villarreal has underperformed for the bulk of this season and looked every inch a relegated side during the festive period, but they appear to have shaken from their slumber and are serious about climbing through the ranks. A victory here would go some way to helping them beat the drop but if they were to lose it would see them fall back to within a point of the drop zone. The visitors have taken six points from their last two games and we’ll back them to complete the hat-trick at a cracking 13/8 with Bet365. There’s enough in that to take them as a super single.

Our Tip: Villarreal to win – 13/8 at Bet365

Alaves v Atletico Madrid

The last of our March 30 La Liga betting tips is for Alaves v Atletico Madrid. Alaves enjoy an unbeaten run and are within touching distance of a top-four finish at this stage of the season. They start the weekend two points off Getafe and it now looks a four-team race to fill the fourth spot behind Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. Alaves supporters will be delighted they are in the mix but will want their side to continue the form that has thrown them into contention for a Champions League berth. They look up against it here and followers can get 4/1 at 888Sport on the local cheer.

Holding on to Second

Atletico Madrid lost last time out but remain on-track for a second-place finish behind Barcelona who has proven too good again this year. The visitors are two better than rivals Real Madrid in third and will see holding their position as an achievement almost as good as picking up the flag. Barring that loss going into the international break, they have been consistent this year and should have more than enough about them to return to winning ways at the first opportunity. The away day will do for us at 3/4 (Coral).

Our Tip: Atletico Madrid to win – 3/4 at Coral
