Here are our US Open Last 8 predictions:
Daniil Medvedev vs Stan Wawrinka
Daniil Medvedev – 6/5 (William Hill)
Stan Wawrinka – 4/5 (Bet-at-Home)
2016 US Open champion Stan Wawrinka has endured a tough couple of seasons on the ATP Tour due to injury but his re-emergence in New York this week will be a huge boost for him. His victory over an injury-stricken Novak Djokovic was impressive in the last round but he knows he will have to be at his best to beat Daniil Medvedev. The Russian is seeded 5 in New York and has been blazing a trail on the tour in recent weeks, most notably winning the Masters title in Cincinnati.
This will be only the second meeting between the men, with Medvedev clinching the spoils the last time the two men met at Wimbledon 2017.
This looks set to be the tie of the round between two in-form players. Picking a winner could be tough and it looks set to go the distance.
