Miami Open Women’s Quarter Finals Betting Tips

Once again the WTA has thrown up a fascinating week of tennis with only 3 of the world’s top 10 players making it to the last 8 in Miami. With the likes of Naomi Osaka, Serena Williams and Sloane Stephens eliminated in Florida – it looks to be a very open draw and following on from Bianca Andresscu’s win at Indian Wells last week, it seems that anyone is seemingly capable of winning the tournament from here. Here are our Miami Open Women’s Quarter Finals betting tips.

Here are our Miami Open Last 8 predictions:

Match Betting:

Anett Kontaveit vs Su-wei Hsieh

Odds:

Anett Kontaveit – 8/13(TonyBet)

Su-wei Hsieh – 13/10 (Bet365)

Two women in the world’s top 30 face off in what promises to be an intriguing first quarter final in Miami. Anett Kontaveit is seeded 21 here in Florida and has been in great form in 2019 thus far and her rise up the rankings has been steady. Su-wei Hsieh meanwhile has beaten the likes of Naomi Osaka and Caroline Wozniacki this week and looks to be in great form.

Head to Head

This is the second meeting between the two players, with Kontaveit picking up a comfortable straight set win in their previous encounter in 2015.

Top Match Bet

With so much at stake, picking a winner here could be a tough shout but expect the game to go all the way down to the wire for a place in the last 4.

3 Sets to be played in the match – 11/8 with Unibet.

Match Betting:

Petra Kvitova vs Ashleigh Barty

Odds:

Petra Kvitova – 4/7 (888sport)

Ashleigh Barty – 11/8 (MansionBet)

Two of the in-form women on the WTA Tour face off in Miami as defending champion Ashleigh Barty takes on Petra Kvitova. With both players ranked inside the world’s top 15, there will be very little to split them and this will be the third meeting between the players already this season on the WTA Tour.

Head to Head

This is the 5th meeting between the players – with Kvitova holding an impressive 4-0 record over Barty. Their last meeting came in the last 8 at the Australian Open where Kvitova prevailed on her way to the final.

Top Match Bet

This is a real opportunity for both women and it could well go all the way to three sets with Kvitova’s good record over Barty the potentially defining factor.

Petra Kvitova to win the match by 2 sets to 1 – 16/5 with William Hill.

Match Betting:

Simona Halep vs Qiang Wang

Odds:

Simona Halep – 1/3 (TonyBet)

Qiang Wang – 12/5 (Ladbrokes)

Simona Halep has an opportunity to return to number 1 in the WTA rankings and she’ll be keen to assert her authority here with a win over world number 18 Qiang Wang. The Chinese number 1 has enjoyed an impressive year and she is currently playing at her career best ranking. This promises to be a really entertaining encounter between two strong ball-strikers.

Head to Head

This will be the first meeting between these two players on the WTA Tour.

Top Match Bet

Whilst this should be a close game, Halep looks to have the bit between her teeth currently and should prevail here.

Simona Halep to win the match by 2 sets to 0 – 5/4 with Coral.

Match Betting:

Karolina Pliskova vs MarkétaVondroušová

Odds:

Karolina Pliskova – 5/6 (Betfred)

MarkétaVondroušová – 11/10 (BetBright)

An all-Czech tie concludes the quarter final line up and it promises to be a classic. Karolina Pliskova has climbed the rankings once more in 2019 and her performances suggest she’s back to her best once more. MarkétaVondroušová appears to have the world at her feet at 19 years of age and her wins over Jelena Ostapenko and Elise Mertens suggest she has what it takes to compete with some of the biggest names in the game.

Head to Head

This is the first meeting between the players on the WTA Tour and has the makings of a classic.

Top Match Bet

MarkétaVondroušová is the next big hope in Czech tennis and whilst her time will come, Karolina Pliskova will want to assert her authority here and win this one.

Karolina Pliskova to win the match by 2 sets to 0 – 6/4 with Bet-at-Home
