Manchester United vs Chelsea Predictions & Betting Tips
Sunday sees Manchester United host Chelsea in the 4:30pm kick-off in the Premier League. After…
It’s game two in the Scottish Premiership and defending champions Celtic will be looking to strengthen their position at the head of the table with another convincing win.
The Hoops hammered St Johnstone last weekend at Celtic Park, making a mockery of what was billed as a tricky opener.
Celtic unfurled the league flag and got right to business, laying down a marker for the season ahead and sending out a message to their rivals, especially Rangers. Neil Lennon’s troops hammered The Saints 7-0 thanks to a hattrick from Christie, as well as goals from Johnston, Eduard and returning striker Griffiths. The latter continued his recovery with a well taken strike and there’s now no reason he can’t go on to cement a place in the starting line-up. He’ll play a huge part in Celtic’s Premiership and European campaign in the months to come, that’s for sure.
The home fans struggled to hide their delight and it’s little wonder. Celtic played with confidence, ripping apart a side who were expected to be challenging for the top six this season. It’ll count for nothing if they then go to Fir Park and drop points in week two, but that’s unlikely. Bookmakers can’t see past a convincing away win and price Celtic at 1/3 (Bet365). That’s tight but it’s difficult to argue against.
Those after a bit more for their stake can take a shot at the specials where they’ll find Celtic -1 goal on the handicap or Griffiths to score anytime. This will be the visitor’s second outing of the week following their Champions League exploits on Wednesday away to Cluj and it’ll be interesting to see how they cope. The draw is our bet at 4/1 (Bet365).
