Here are our top I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here betting tips.
Quite possibly one of the most well-known figures in this year’s jungle camp in footballing legend, Harry Redknapp. 71 year old Redknapp is this year’s oldest contestant. He started his professional footballing career back in 1965, where he played for West Ham United; he played through to 1982, where he finished his playing career at AFC Bournemouth.
However, he then went into managing, and this is where he really made his name. He has had a top flight career from 1983 all the way through to 2017, having managed clubs such as West Ham, Spurs and QPR. However, this is not a career that has gone smoothly at all times. His career has been plagued with allegations of corruption.
This is a man that is clearly well-known throughout England and all the footballing world, but will that help him in the jungle? Well, we believe that he’ll be great at the tasks that involve determination, although will struggle with physical tasks. This will make him a popular camp-mate, but not one that will be given much airtime or have much entertainment value. He also doesn’t seem to have a huge bubbly personality, which again may not appeal to the public audience.
So, his chances? Despite his huge pay packet, we really don’t think he’ll be worth much in entertainment value. Although his loyal footballing fans may carry him through some way, we doubt he has the character to get the big win.
*** Well, we were wrong! He’s shown himself to be fun, a proper East End boy full of stories and anecdotes. The camp-mates love him and so do the public…. and he’s now favourite to win and is 2/7 at Bet365.
Lovers of the Chase will know old Frosty Knickers herself, Anne Hegarty, This quiz show favourite is a surprise addition, but one that will make for great television. Obviously, she is known as being cold and serious – likened to a governess; however, Anne may well be a lot more than that.
We have no doubt that she may not excel at the physical challenges; however, we do believe that she won’t bat an eyelid when covered in roaches, snakes and spiders. This is a woman who will be able to hold her own in any bushtucker trial and will make a solid camp mate.
However, we also reckon there’s a cheekiness to Ms Hegarty that will come out. Every now and then, there are glimpses of a fun naughtiness she possesses as she flirts with the male contestants. We think that this show will allow that side of her to shine more – and as such, she may well be a surprise hit. We reckon she may have a kind of Carol Thatcher appeal… the older woman who has enough guts and character to endear herself. She did well to get so far but has now been eliminated.
Emily Atack, star of The Inbetweeners cannot be overlooked. If you look at the last three winners, they have all been females under 30. Although Atack isn’t a reality TV star, like the others, she still has much going for her. She was a star of one of the most popular British Sitcoms of the day and even know she is known as Charlotte Big Jugs.
She is in a situation where she now has the chance to show who she it. There is a good chance that this is a contestant who will be scared of the creepy crawlies. She may scream and shout…. But this provides entertainment. This could mean that she gets voted for in the trials, which all means more airtime. Viewers love to see a scared celebrity and they love to see them overcome their fears.
If she lets her personality come out and prove to be a trouper, the odds of her winning may well shorten, so best to get in now while she’s still at 13/2 with Betfred.
Well, John Barrowman is a showman, pure and simple. This highly theatrical character will definitely make an impact in the camp and it will be hard to ignore him. As such, he has been made one of the early favourites. It’s easy to see why. He’’s hugely popular with a wide range people, he’s very dramatic and as such he’ll undoubtedly get a lot of air time.
Having said that, if he wants to stay up there, he needs to be personable and bubbly, without becoming annoying. He also will need to maintain that energy whilst on rice and beans. We can see him being great value on the show and he will add a lot of the fun-factor. He’s up there at the top with odds of 18/1 at Bet365, so could definitely be worth a shot.
The lead singer of the Vamps is hotly tipped favourite right now and it’s not hard to see why. If you look at the past winners of the show, many have been members of boy bands. They bring along with them their ever adoring female fans.
So, on paper he has the credentials to make it far, but we need to see something from him. Will he spark up an unlikely ‘bromance’ with Harry Redknapp? Will he form an unlikely friendship with Anne Hegarty? The young male winners all tend to create a heartwarming bond with unlikely camp-mates. He also needs to show strength, warmth and compassion. Currently, aren’t sure if he has what it takes to be number one and has odds of 16/1 at BetFred.
Others that have been thrown into the ix, and may well offer something a little bit different are:
DIY SOS presenter Nick seems to have a mild mannered and placid personality. Will this be enough to woo the voting public? Will he have enough personality to make it to the end game? Nope – he has now has been eliminated.
Dwyer – Malique is a 20 year old actor who is known to fans of Hollyoaks. As you would expect from a Hollyoaks actor, he’s a pretty boy, but will he have anything else to offer apart from the jungle shower scenes? Nope…. he’s now been evicted!
Rita will have a big fanbase from Eastenders, but will she have the strength and personality to carry it through – bookies aren’t so sure… and with every reason. She’s now been eliminated!
He has demanded a big fee, but will he be worth it? This Deal or No Deal star could be mad as a box of frogs… or just plain boring. We hope the first as he’s not afraid of confrontation. However, he was not a favourite and has now been eliminated.
Former X-Factor star Fleur hit the bigtime singing about Saxophones… but has since gone off radar. She is obviously hoping for a career revival if she has a successful show. She may get far but bookies see her winning as unlikely and has been given odds of 14/1 by Coral.
Sair’s character in Coronation Street, Alya, is not that popular… and maybe people are judging her on that, because she is currently the least likely to win, despite being on one of the most high profile soaps. Fellow cast mate, Fizz, did well, but bookies didn’t expect such a big following and rightly so. She has now been evicted.
