Drama is guaranteed and you can spice up your enjoyment of the occasion with a bet on the outcome. Major bookmakers offer a list of betting opportunities and markets, including race winner, fastest lap, podium finish, points finish, king of the road, and plenty more besides. Back your opinions with hard cash and target a pay-out.
German driver Sebastian Vettel won this race last year and the Ferrari pilot would dearly love to repeat the feat this season, catapulting himself back into the title race. Vettel led Lewis Hamilton home 12 months ago with Max Verstappen finishing back in third to complete the podium places. Seb took his rival on the first lap in that race and wasn’t for catching once he had his nose in front.
Will he repeat the feat this year? Bookmakers don’t think so and many firms have the German written off for glory in Belgium. Traders at Bet365 offer 11/4 on two-in-a-row and that’s much better than the 9/4 that is generally available. That’s quite a difference and there’s enough there to merit an interest.
Vettel starts as second favourite behind in-form Brit Hamilton who has been scored up as a 6/4 punt. Charles Leclerc is back in third at 13/4 and he’s ahead of Valterri Bottas at 7/1 (Bet365) and Max Verstappen’s 8/1 (Bet365). Those after a bit more of a safety net can take Vettel for a podium finish at 8/15.
