Last year’s champion and runner-up are back for more this year as Ryan Fox and Aaron Rai return to Wentworth. They will join many other in-form players, including Robert Macintyre, Tommy Fleetwood, Francesco Molinari, Billy Horschel, Nicolai Hojgaard, and Rasmus Hojgaard.

Ones to Watch

Rory McIlroy –  The Irishman will no doubt be coming out ready for a fight as he prepares for his redemption after a disappointing result in the Irish Open last time out. McIlroy last won the event back in 2014, and last year came seventh, five off the winner. 

Tommy Fleetwood – Despite not having secured a win yet this season, Tommy Fleetwood is a talent in the world of golf, and the Olympic silver medallist will be ready to go in front of home fans at Wentworth. The world number 12 is a strong contender to be in with a shot of winning.

Aaron Rai – Last year’s runner-up is back to go one step further this time out after being just one shot behind the winner, Ryan Fox, in the 2023 BMW PGA Championship. Having enjoyed a fantastic season so far on the PGA Tour, Rai expects to get a strong campaign underway, pathing the way to a possible win.
