These victories earned the Hoops the extra points needed to secure their title victory, with an eight-point gap between them. Rangers fans and players will feel that it could have been different if they had been on the winning side of just two of those fixtures. 

The fiesty fixture has seen the rivals meet 121 times, with Celtic reigning victorious 56 times to Rangers’ 41. The rivals could not be separated on 24 occasions, resulting in a draw.
