Le Golf National, Paris, hosts the Open de France 2024 on the DP World Tour this Thursday, 10th, October – Sunday, 13th, October as one of the most difficult courses on the tour gets underway.

Open de France 2024 Preview

As the DP World Tour approaches its business end of the season, this week sees the start of the golfing action out at Le Golf National, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France. 

Known for being one of the more challenging courses on the DP World Tour, players must maintain their concentration throughout with water waiting at both the start and end of each round and some of the toughest roughs, even in the dry.

Despite some names missing from the previous events, it is still a packed field full of talent. Spectators can expect the likes of Billy Horschel, Rasmus Hojgaard, Niklas Norgaard, Matt Wallace, Justin Rose, and Thriston Lawrence to take to the green.

Open de France History 

The Open de France tournament has been running since its first edition in 1972 and is the oldest national open in continental Europe. It has only missed two years on the golfing calendar due to the pandemic.

Le Golf National was the same course featured at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games earlier this summer. 

This will be the 30th national open to be played at the course, which was also the venue for Europe’s Ryder Cup victory over the United States in 2018.
