F1 is back this weekend as the run-in begins with eight races in six weeks…
The European Tour heads to Budapest this Friday for the Hungarian Darts Trophy as Luke Littler, Michael Smith, and last year’s champion Dave Chisnall battle it out to win the trophy.
Featuring tons of big names in the game, our betting experts have provided their top tips ahead of the tournament. To learn more about what they think, continue reading below.
Featuring some of the biggest names in darts right now, the 2024 Hungarian Darts Trophy is set to be a cracker!
Luke Littler, who won his maiden World Series of Darts, is heading into the tournament, going for two in a row. His opponent, Michael ‘Bully Boy’ Smith, whom he beat to the title, will be present once again and out for revenge.
Reigning champion Dave Chisnall will also be back to defend his crown and is ranked as the number one seed this time out.
Following the Hungarian Trophy is a brand new addition to the European Tour calendar as we head to Switzerland for the first time in the event’s history for the Swiss Darts Trophy.
The third edition of the Hungarian Darts Trophy tournament saw Dave ‘Chizzy’ Chisnall take home the trophy after a fantastic run of form on the EuroTour.
This was after a tough quarter-final match against the mighty Michael van Gerwen, in which ‘Chizzy’ came out on top, winning 6-4. The semi-final followed against fellow Englishman Scott Williams, who was making his first appearance in a EuroTour semi-final. The final saw ‘Chizzy’ face off against ‘Cool Hand’ Luke Humphries, the toughest opponent of them all.
Despite ‘Cool Hand’ starting off the match with a 170 finish and moments later hitting his first TV nine-darter, Chisnall won the all-deciding leg with an average of 105.
