A record powerplay score and a second-fastest 50 for Travis Head, captain Mitchell Marsh and his side made it look easy work and had secured the win within nine overs. The skipper himself contributed with 14 consecutive boundaries, five sixes and nine fours at the crease accompanied by Head. A disappointed Fraser-McGurk will be hopeful of making more of a go of things the second time around.

The sun was shining at The Grange, Edinburgh as Scotland welcomed Australia for the first match of their T20I series. After the hosts gave the Aussies a scare back in the T20 World Cup, the motivation in the camp heading into the tie was high. 

However, after posting a score of just 154-9 after 20 overs, it was almost a given that Australia would come out on top. After a record powerplay score of 113-1, the Aussies were just too strong for the Scots. Travis Head was the main star of the show as he hit 80 off just 25 deliveries, scoring one of the fastest half-centuries with 12 fours and five sixes. At one point, 14 consecutive deliveries went to the boundary.

Ultimately, it ended in victory for the visitors, with 62 balls remaining, surpassing the score posted within just 9.4 overs.
