The Premier League makes way for the return of the FA Cup this weekend and that has the value hunters amongst us on high alert. There is plenty for followers of the form to get involved with, but this competition is famous for throwing up surprise results and that paves the way for us to have a crack at a few nice price predictions. Will we see a giant-killing in round three?
A Closer Look
There is no lack of fixtures worth a look this weekend, but a few leapt off the page at us when running through the betting. One goes at St Mary’s where Southampton and Huddersfield face off from 3.00pm on Saturday. No TV coverage here but those who get themselves along to the venue are guaranteed an exciting cup match from the first kick to the final whistle.
These teams are no strangers and that’s great news for the neutral as it allows them to get right down to business. Both have bigger fish to fry in the league, so the FA Cup doesn’t feature too high on their list of priorities. They want to go as far as possible, of course, gifting fans a cup run, but we really don’t expect to see a nervy, tense game here. Instead, it should be open, free-flowing and entertaining to watch from the off.

Southampton is struggling in the Premier League and we’re sure, if offered at this stage, the chance to win the FA Cup or beat relegation, they would happily end the campaign without a trophy to their name.
