US Open Predictions & Betting Tips: Alexei Popyrin vs Novak Djokovic

Novak Djokovic continues his US Open title defence on Saturday in a third-round match against number 28 seed Alexei Popyrin. 

This is the third match-up between the Australian and the Serbian, two of which came in 2024 in round two of the Australian Open and the third-round tie at Wimbledon.

The Serbian saw his second-round tie cut short after opponent Laslo Djere retired injured. So far this year, Djokovic has emerged victorious in 81% of his matches on the ATP Tour, and he is showing no signs of slowing down. The third-round matchup against Popyrin will see the 37-year-old look to extend his undefeated run against the Australian to four.

The experienced Djokovic has won on each occasion, first back in 2019 out in Tokyo in Round 1.
