The third-round match saw errors from both players in the first two sets, a part of his game the Czech will be looking to avoid this time-out against a player who is yet to drop a set. 

This is the first time the 23-year-old Czech has reached Round 4 of a major, with the small matter of in-form Jack Draper to contend with next on his route to a possible first grand slam quarter-final.

The youngsters have only met once before, in the first round of the 2024 Geneva Open back in May. In that match, Machac won in straight sets, 7-6 (8-6) 6-1. Both on a mission, one to remain unbeaten, and one out for revenge, it will be a fascinating tie between these two youngsters.
